So yesterday’s post went out without any details which hopefully you’ll forgive me for – I was a bit preoccupied with our brand new addition. So I will recap what we actually ate. Hubby’s mom was kind enough to cook for us as per the original plan but even more awesome was that she delivered the brunch and dinner to us as I had my home visit with our midwife scheduled for the afternoon.
Brunch
Hard boiled eggs, quiche Lorraine and broccoli, kielbasa sausage and watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew melon slices.
Dinner
Baked Ham and Leg of Lamb, mashed potatoes and roasted carrots.
Obviously not everything on the above list fits the plan but not all of our guests were following the diet. So we ate what we should and a little of indulgence made for a nice holiday with family.
Breakfast
Yogurt and left over fruit.
Lunch
Finishing up the hard boiled eggs as an egg salad sandwiches.
Dinner
Left over ham and lamb, steamed broccoli and left over potatoes.
Snacks/Sweets/Drinks
Seltzer, tea and coconut waters or milk.
