I found Two Hip Peas in a Pod on Facebook. Cassie, one half of the Peas is a blogger and moderator for a naturally minded website and facebook fan page. She and her sister are the creative and talented cloth mavens of Two Hip Peas in a Pod. They began making very hip Mama Cloth and excitedly announced that they were working on making diapers. I awaited the arrival of the pocket diapers and checked their Facebook page frequently. As soon as the first diapers were for sale I purchased two of the adorable diapers for Little Man’s Easter Basket!
Little Man's Easter Basket
I know, I know, why would anyone put diapers in an Easter basket? Easter baskets are supposed to be for fun stuff and diapers are not fun. Have you been following our carnival? Cloth diapers are fun and super cute too. For my diapers I chose a blue tie-dyed star pattern with dark blue coordinating minky and a forest animal pattern with a chocolate brown minky to match Little Man’s bedroom set.
Each of their diapers are handmade by one of the two sisters. The outer layer of the diaper is made with adorable prints and patterned PUL fabric that is waterproof yet still soft to the touch. The inner layer is the best part! Super soft minky fabric in a coordinating color. Their diapers are one-size adjustable pocket diapers with snap closures. The insert opening is in the back of the diaper and has covered elastic to contain the insert while in use but the opening is wide enough that you can shake the insert out before washing. Each diaper comes with an adjustable bumGenius microfiber insert.
The diapers are sent to you straight from one of the two sisters. I was lucky enough to choose one from each sister so I can confidently say the quality of each of their diapers is the same. The only difference I saw was in the size of the opening for the pocket, one was smaller then the other.

What I like about these diapers is the cute PUL patterns. I call these my show diapers because I like to use them when we have company over or when we go to doctor’s appointments. They are so adorable and everyone asks about them when they see them. The minky inner is very luxurious. If you have never had a minky inner diaper you are missing out! It is very soft on your little one’s bum and it feels pretty dry when wet.
No gapping at the legs
My son can climb, play, sleep and do what 16 month olds do in diapers in these pocket diapers. He has worn them overnight for 8 hours and has not had leaks. We have not had a blow-out in these either. I do put a diaper liner in the diaper to shield the fabric a little. I like that the minky fabric rolls out so that the PUL is not rubbing against his legs. My son is a few ounces light of 25lbs and the diaper fits him with three snap placements open in the front. I have the rise snaps all the way undone and I feel that he is topping out of the height – even though there is still room in the waist with these.

I switched out the insert for my own preference to an organic cotton insert. I just liked the absorbency level of the organic cotton as compared with a micro-fiber insert. As I use these typically for longer periods between changes, i.e. doctor’s appointments, visiting friends and overnight.
Over all I am very happy with my pocket diapers from Two Hip Peas in a Pod. I would definitely shop there again. I keep eyeing up some of their more girlie prints for any future babies. They are of a good quality and would make a very nice gift for you or someone you know.

I would LOVE to win one of these diapers! I have a new baby on the way and much of my stash has been damaged/destroyed this past year
On top of that, we have the expenses of both moving homes and paying for a doula and possibly having to pay OOP for the birth center if my insurance chooses to refuse to cover it. So, anything that can help us out is a big boon!

i’m obsessed with the chocolate chip cookie diaper!!!! so cute!!! i LOVE two hip peas!
my DD LOVES her two hip peas diapers – they are our go-to naptime diaper! she also enjoys carrying them around and snuggling their insides (that minky is delicious!). so she’d enjoy it! although, honestly, DH would love that choc chip cookie one so he’d probably enjoy it more – he loves THPiP as well!
